Thanks to [info]attic_plan and [info]red_day_dawning for the betas! All remaining errors are either me being lazy or stubborn.

First things first: Amazing art by Lyntek can be admired here!

More on the original character of Alexander for the amusement of [info]skeptic7 and any other interested parties.

This link leads to material intended for mature audiences. Those too young for such things, those likely to be offended by such things and those looking for a story with a plot would do well to go elsewhere. )

LJ says 'Ooops!'

Wow, so you think you made a little error in judgement there, team? Really? You don't say! Good thing you got 'round to correcting it in such a punctual fashion, though.

Last night, the spouse and I made dumplings! All by ourselves! Mostly guessing at the recipe and method! We made shiitake, Napa cabbage and lotus root-filled steamed dumplings and they were delicious. I'd make more tonight but we used all our shiitakes.

We also made one of our favourite Thai dishes, Pad Se Ew. We used egg noodles instead of rice noodles because we couldn't find the right ones but it was still good.

In order to make this meal, we had to go by the local Korean/Asian market and pick up a few supplies.

While there, we bought a bag of 'Pasture Cake', a lovely shortbread filled with a combination of winter melon and 'pasture powder'. Alas, it didn't taste of grass as I'd hoped but the container looks just like a little purse complete with handles. 'Natural regimen Leisure Time Refresment' is promised on the package.

Also on the Unfortunate Translation front, we saw a package of a confection that contained not iron but 'Lron'. A sticker on the package also warned that it contained sacchrine, which 'causes cabcer in lab oratory animals'(and that's a direct quote). From this, we can only surmise that L. Ron Hubbard causes cabcer. See, kids -- Scientology really is dangerous!

The gem of the day was undoubtedly the product that made my husband say 'Damn. Tom Waits was right.' I expected to see someone whose watch was also a rifle, but what I saw instead was this: Warning -- Contains Images of Raw Meat(and may lead to bawdy meat-related jokes) ) That's right, folks. You saw it here first(I hope).
